§ 01

The Motion

The studio continues to serve as my creative and spiritual temple. We've been recording new songs, growing the catalog, and the creative energy is as high and intentional as it's ever been.

Every issue checks the pulse of where Bespoke317 is right now.

  • ✦   On my 40th birthday, we dropped our first single — Perfect. The title isn't random. Life is exactly (and only) how it can be in a given moment. That means everything is working exactly how it can and should — right now, in this moment. From that perspective, everything is perfect. That's the energy behind the record.
  • ✦   We also celebrated our first radio spin. And not just anywhere. HB Radio, an iHeart affiliate and the number one hip hop radio station in Las Vegas, put Bespoke317 in rotation. That one hit different. Grateful for the love and excited about what that door opens.
  • ✦   On the legal side, my focus has been intentional — deep skill building and sharpening the toolkit within the energy law space. Energy continues to captivate our attention from the newsroom to the boardroom — that is no coincidence. Either way, the craft never stops, in the studio or in the courtroom.

The Docket

In this section of the issue, subscribers get first access to what's next for Bespoke317 — upcoming releases, drops, appearances, projects, and exclusives before they hit the public domain.

If it's on "The Docket", it's already in motion.

  • ✦   Releasing Perfect was just the beginning. We're just getting started. Another new single drops July 31st. August and September are already lined up to keep the summer heat going. What to expect? A variety of sounds — new and familiar at the same time. The intention, creativity, and bespoke nature of the music stays locked in, but we're also pushing the boundary of what hip hop can be. More range. More texture. More Bespoke317.
  • ✦   On the collaboration front — we continue to build with our trusted partners. Big shoutout to BALEBOYGEECHIE and City Dump Records in Indianapolis, and Bowl Bay the Producer and Garden of Rhythm in Chicago. These are real relationships built around music we actually love making. Speaking of real relationships, major props to Jason McCoy Photography for a FIRE photoshoot for an upcoming media release we're working on.
  • ✦   What else is on the horizon? It's wide open. The rest of the year brings travel to Paris, London, and Berlin. The purpose is mixed — working with international law firm affiliates, collaborating with UK colleagues, and attending a member meeting for the Global Alliance of Impact Lawyers. But you already know — wherever we land, we're looking for new collaborators and building new relationships. Music and law don't stop at borders.

Off the Record

This is an unfiltered conversation. Every issue shares a personal insight from the only perspective that sees both sides of the table — artist and attorney, studio and courtroom. The lessons, the tensions, the wins, and the wisdom that aren't always captured in social media snapshots.

But don't quote me. It's off the record.

  • ✦   Forty hit different. And still hasn't really sunk in yet… I'll be honest — entering a new decade is a little jarring. But when I look at how we celebrated, I have nothing but gratitude. This was the most intentional celebration of life I've had so far. Michelin Star dinners. A day on the beach. A lake cruise. A private vinyl listening room. Quiet, intimate moments with the people I love most. And of course — dropping Perfect on the day itself. It felt like everything lined up exactly how it should. Because it did. Perfect.
  • ✦   I felt an enormous amount of love and community. And while the new decade is taking some getting used to, I am walking into it with full confidence — the best years are still ahead.
  • ✦   What I keep coming back to is this: life has a way of delivering dizzying, wonderful victories and deeply humbling lessons — sometimes in the same week. I'm doing my best to stay present and grateful for both. To lean into the wins. To sit with the lessons. That's life. And honestly? That's also what makes the music great. We're building something real here. And we're just getting started. Let's get it!!!
